I've always been intrigued by the struggles we face and how we best overcome these challenges. I have worked with more than three thousand children, teens, and families. This has helped me refine the skill and art of creating emotional safety and positive behavior changes for my clients. My clients learn valuable coping skills and move forward in their lives.
My formal education includes my psychology internship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling Center. This training deepened my appreciation for patterns of development in children, teens, and adults. Prior to my internship, I attained a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. While there, I received training in evidence-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approaches for children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
I have been in practice helping children, teens, couples, and families for over thirty years.
I have made guest appearances as a media consultant on the The Today Show, Court TV, CBS eyewitness news Philadelphia, 10! Philadelphia—NBC, and National Public Radio
